varelta This procedure should enable you to extract the longitude and latitude of a position you are viewing in Google Earth. This procedure assumes you have already found the location on the map.

1. Set Google Earth to display latitude and longitude in "Degrees".

To do this, go to "Tools"in the top menu bar and select "Options"
from the drop-down menu. Under the "3D View" tab you will see "Show Lat / Long".
Choose the "Degrees" radio button. Then at the bottom select "Apply Settings" and
  "OK" to leave the window.

2. If you have found a map showing the location you want the lat/long of:

     It doesn't matter where.
  B. Use <Ctrl-Shift-P> to open up the "Placemark" window. A yellow icon will appear on the map.
Use your mouse to move this icon over the position you want to get the lat/long for and
release the icon there. Now in the window you should see the coordinates. You will need
to copy/paste those numbers into notepad or the form at publictoilets.org for adding a location.
  C. Select "Cancel" on the window to close it and remove the placement icon.
